Long-Term Dental Care & Morning Jaw Exercises
Mandibular advancement devices work by gently holding the lower jaw forward during sleep. This can be very effective for suitable users, but long-term use should be monitored as part of your normal dental care.
Why dental check-ups matter
Over time, any mandibular advancement device may affect how your teeth meet when you bite. In some users, this can include small changes in tooth position, bite contact, or jaw comfort.
Regular dental check-ups help ensure that:

Pressure points, looseness, or wear can be dealt with promptly
If you have gum disease, loose teeth, untreated decay, crowns, bridges, implants, jaw joint problems, or ongoing dental pain, please speak to your dentist before using a mandibular advancement device.
Morning jaw exercises
After wearing the device overnight, your jaw may temporarily feel slightly forward or your bite may feel different. Simple morning jaw movements can help your jaw return to its usual resting position.
After removing the device, gently:

Open and close your mouth several times

Move your jaw from side to side

Bite together lightly to re-establish your normal bite

Follow any specific exercises or advice given by your dentist
Some users may also be advised by their dentist to use a morning repositioning splint.

This is enhancing the quality of my sleep incredibly well!!! It pushes my jaw forward noticeably, really opening my airways. Furthermore, this new model is so much more hygienic, with secretions and such remaining stuck to the surface, and is much easier to keep clean (obviously regular cleaning is still a necessity).

Excellent process from doing the moulds at home, straight forward! to getting replies for customer service. I am extremely happy with the product, it is so much less bulky than previous generic ones I've used and therefore less irritation and pressure on inside of gums and lips. I've used generic ones for more than a year but wish I knew about sleepro earlier! No snoring and very comfortable through the night. Such a great product!

Didnt seem to mold well, tried several times. At night wither because loose or obstructive. Unfortunately i have had cheaper products work more effectively/stay in place

But the holes are sharp around the edges so they hurt the tip of my tongue as I sleep.

Had the slightly cheaper version before and had no problems. Tried the microbial which like the other ones, needed another dip in hot water to get the right fit. Unlike the cheaper ones, it didn’t mould to my teeth and went in the bin. Very disappointed.

I like the breath hole. I would prefer a smoother surface overall. The design works for me.

It works for me, my husband hasn’t once woken me up since I’ve been wearing it. Ive tried various mouth guards etc and none have been as successful as this one.

Once I'd finally moulded it successfully it appeared to work quite well however after a few days I found I was salivating excessively. Also it made my teeth and jaw ached. Sometimes it came loose in the night and stopped working.
I persisted and the salivation and discomfort improved however another problem has occurred in that the inside of my mouth in front of my teeth has become rough and sore.
I don't know if this is due to the way I made the moulding or something else. It does work sometimes but I feel the fitting and moulding instructions are a bit clunky and hard to follow. The surface has a slightly bubbly rough feel - this could be the cause of my mouth soreness - I may try to remould it but I'm concerned that it might become more misshapen.
Potentially good product but flawed in practice.

Oh my god, my husband and I can’t believe this works. I’ve tried many many many different mouth guards but they haven’t worked this well. I’m not snoring at all, and I was so loud my husband could hear my from the next room. Pre this mouth guard I was sleeping in the spare room more often than not, neither of us were getting a good nights sleep. Yes it is slightly uncomfortable but it’s a small price to pay.
