The SleepPro Standard Night Guard AM is a custom made for upper or lower teeth, approximately 3mm in thickness, it is made from a soft flexible dental-grade polymer which contains silver ions. These inhibit the growth of bacteria on the surface and help keep the night guard fresh and clean. This does not negate the need for a proper cleaning regime but will help the night guard last longer. Ideal  for mild to heavy clenching / grinding (bruxing)

Mint green in colour it is very easily identified as AM from the other products in the SleepPro range of nightguards. Details of the testing and validation can be viewed here

Twice the thickness of our Slimline nightguard it provides greater separation of the teeth and it will potentially have a longer lifespan. If you have worn a SleepPrto Slimline and found it wore through too quickly the SleepPro Standard Night Guard AM may be an upgrade option that will last you longer.

No dental visit required everything is handled via post. We ship you a simple impression kit to take your own impression. The kit is universal and can be used for upper or lower teeth. When done you simply send it back to us in the envelope provided and we make your SleepPro Standard Night Guard AM. (postage is payable for sending the impression to us)

All materials used are the same as supplied to our dental clients. They are compliant with CE requirements for such products and we import from one of the worlds leading suppliers of dental material in Germany.

Full instructions are provided, with additional YouTube videos for those who need a little extra coaching on how to take an impression.

Once we receive your impression we send you an email confirming its safe arrival. Our technical team will then check it to ensure all is well and we are able to use it.

10-14 days later you will receive your finished SleepPro Standard Night Guard AM.

We retain your models for a minimum of 18 months during which time you can order replacements without having to repeat the impression process. Returning customers will receive a 10% discount, details will be in your delivery letter that will accompany your completed SleepPro Standard Night Guard AM

    Custom Nightguard FAQ

Worn for 1 night, and have had to stop, as it is rubbing on part of my gum. What can i do to stop this please ?

Sometimes the original impression can look great but has a small defect that is not really visible, it's only when the night guard is worn that a distortion or defect becomes apparent by causing pressure or sore spot.

A quick home fix you can try :

Boil some water and carefully pour it over the offending sedge of the night guard, take care not to scald your fingers, the hot water will soften the area very quickly 5-10 seconds. Gently shake off the excess hot water, bend the edge slightly with your fingers then quickly place it back into your mouth. The softened plastic should then adapt to the shape of the area without causing undue pressure. A few sips of some cold water will help cool and fix the new shape/position. You can repeat this as many times as you like to get the area comfortable.

The second alternative is to mark the area in question and send it back to us and we will ease the area for you.

Can you use my dental model taken by my dentist

If you have your own dental model, its in good condition and you have not had any major dental work since it was made, then yes, we can certainly use you own model. If sending your own model please follow these instructions; Place your order online. When you receive your order confirmation, make a note of your order number and email info@sleeppro.com put your name and order number in the subject line and just type "sending my own model" in the body text of the email. Wrap your model securely, don't forget to include your name and order number Post to:

Meditas Ltd. Unit 2, Cromwell Business Centre, Howard Way, Newport Pagnell, Milton Keynes MK16 9PY

When received we will send you an email to confirm safe arrival. We will of course return your model with your finished night guard but we can not guarantee it will not incur damage during the manufacturing process. We do our very best to ensure it will not be damaged but as with all dental models the material is very hard, but brittle.

Due to the additional handling and processing times required for customer supplied models there is no discount for sending in models.

Should you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to get back to us.

    What nightguard should I get?

Unless you have been specifically advised by your dentist as to the requirements of an upper/lower & thickness it really comes down to personal preference. If you are still unsure while reviewing our products we would always recommend speaking with a dentist before making a purchase. Predominantly customers find the Upper more comfortable and the impression process can be a little easier.

If you have not used a night guard before we could suggest starting with a 1.5 or the standard 3mm again unless otherwise advised by your dentist. The 1.5mm is only suitable for mild grinding, the medium is mild to moderate. Once you have become accustomed to the wearing of a night guard and you feel you need something more substantial in terms of thickness/durability this is then where the HARD or PLUS can become beneficial.

Nightguards do not come with a warranty cover. The longevity of a nightguard is very unique to each individual, although we provide a range of thicknesses to help support all requirements it is impossible for us to say how long this will last per customer as all grinding/bruxing is different in person to person. If there is a fit issue within 30 days we will of course assist in getting these rectified for you but will require the return of the nightguard to do so.

What's the best way to clean my night guard / SleepPro

When waking in the morning make it part of your morning routine to rinse your SleepPro with warm/cold water. Never use hot water as this may distort the product and render it unwearable.

While rinsing, use a soft toothbrush to gently scrub away any lingering plaque or saliva. Avoid using toothpaste (abrasive toothpaste will scratch the soft polymer).

When your SleepPro is clean, allow it to air dry naturally ensuring it is completely dry before storing it in its freshly-sanitized case (you may wish to invest in one of our self-sanitizing cases*. Keeping your night guard in a damp, humid location will encourage the growth of bacteria.

At least once a week, you should deep clean your SleepPro. You can choose from several methods, including:

    – Ecosym cleaner: Place your night guard in a bowl of water, then add the cleaner and allow to soak for 30 minutes.Daily and weekly cleaning product available

    – SleepPro Fresh & Clean tablets: Place your night guard in a bowl of water, then add the cleaning tablet and allow to soak for 30 minutes

    – Mouthwash: Mix mouthwash with water and soak for 30 minutes.

DO NOT use over the counter denture cleaning products as these contain very aggressive cleaning agents designed for hard acrylic products and will degrade and harden soft night guards

    Bleeding Gums

If you experience bleeding gums after taking a dental impression, it is important to take it seriously. Bleeding gums can be a sign of inflammation, infection or trauma to the gums. Ignoring it can lead to serious dental problems such as gum disease, which can eventually lead to tooth loss.

To take action, first, consult your dental professional. They may recommend a follow-up appointment to assess the situation and provide you with an appropriate treatment plan. In the meantime, you can improve your oral health by gently brushing twice a day, flossing once a day, and using an antiseptic mouthwash. Be sure to avoid acidic or sugary foods and drinks that can irritate your gums. Finally, stay hydrated and get enough sleep to help your body heal. Remember, early detection and treatment can prevent serious dental problems down the line.
