    Cost-effective Treatment

A COST-EFFECTIVE SNORING TREATMENT WITH EXTRA FIT & COMFORT

Based on the long-established and proven SleepPro Easifit, the SleepPro Sleep Tight custom developed mouthpiece is available worldwide after gaining stringent FDA clearance in the USA.

If you’re looking for something that is highly effective, easy to adjust, and offering a tighter but still very comfortable fit, then the sleepPro Sleep Tight is the ideal oral appliance.

The sleepPro Sleep Tight uses special ‘Boil and bite’ technology to ensure it is comfortable to wear and easy to adjust. Although a sleepPro Custom will offer maximum comfort and efficacy, many customers have found that the Sleep Tight is enough to stop their snoring without any need for a more specially formed bespoke oral appliance.

    How does it work?

How to stop snoring in three easy steps:

    1. Unwrap your sleepPro Sleep Tight mouthpiece and check the instructions
    2. Mould it to the shape of your jaw using the ‘boil and bite’ technology
    3. Wear it when going to bed, and get ready for a snore-free evening

‘Boil and bite’: How does it work?

Boil and bite technology has helped us to produce a low cost, effective solution for snorers of all shapes and sizes. The technology lets you mould the mouthpiece to the shape of your jaw so that it fits snugly throughout the night and stays in place.

Please note: You will only need to do the moulding process once!

      Boil and Bite M.A.D. FAQ

How many times can I remould my sleepPro?

SleepPro Easifit can be remoulded as many times as needed. If you are still snoring after the first mould, you may need to remould it with your jaw further forward.

Easifit uses 'Boil and bite' technology to ensure it is comfortable to wear and easy to adjust

Will I be able to wear it all night?

According to our observation, some individuals have no issues keeping the mouthpiece on throughout the night, but a small number of people may have trouble wearing it for the entire duration. In such cases, it is advisable to heat and reshape the SleepPro to fit better.

Consider switching to a SleepPro custom, which is created using a dental impression kit that provides an almost perfect fit to your teeth. This will significantly reduce the chances of the mouthpiece falling out while you are asleep, and it is more comfortable to wear.

A few people may find it difficult to sleep with a mouthpiece in their mouth. However, it is important to note that with time, individuals usually get used to wearing a mouthpiece.

When I wake in the morning my jaw feels as though it is pushed forward, is this normal?

This is a common experience. While it can take some people a little while to get used to, you will find that your jaw will move back into place quite naturally and comfortably, shortly after you remove the mouthpiece. To help reduce or mitigate long term jaw issues we pass on the advice of Prof M Stubbs

Professor Michael Stubbs is a great advocate of SleepPro products and regularly lectures on the benefits of Mandibular Advancment Devices. He is actively involved with the provision of dental courses world wide instructing dentists on the treatment and management of Sleep Apnoea devices

      https://michaelstubbs.com.au/index.php

Professor Michael Stubbs trained as a dentist and then specialised in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with facial or jaw pain that is not derived from the teeth. Dr Stubbs also diagnoses and manages any disorder or disease involving the mouth or jaws and sleep apnoea/snoring disorders with the use of custom made dental devices.

For those experiencing discomfort or jaw position issues when wearing a MAD, here are some practical exercises that can help

      1. In a  custom made dental device the bite changes do occur after 6 months to 3 years time frame of use, when worn nightly. We do advise patients at the consultation period the side effects such as occlusal changes and temporomandibular disorder
      2.  I have experienced some patients reporting the sleep pro device affects their bite as well, but temporary

      I recommend the following approach:

The patient should either chew a small piece of chewing gum on their back teeth only in the morning, for 15-20 minutes to help re-align the bite

I also recommend a modified version of the Roccabado technique in which the patient puts the tip of their tongue into the middle of the hard palate, opens their mouth and counts to 20 to themselves. They do this six times in the morning and at different times during the daytime. Including, yawning

This approach is also a simple, practical approach

What's the best way to clean my night guard / SleepPro

When waking in the morning make it part of your morning routine to rinse your SleepPro with warm/cold water. Never use hot water as this may distort the product and render it unwearable.

While rinsing, use a soft toothbrush to gently scrub away any lingering plaque or saliva. Avoid using toothpaste (abrasive toothpaste will scratch the soft polymer).

When your SleepPro is clean, allow it to air dry naturally ensuring it is completely dry before storing it in its freshly-sanitized case (you may wish to invest in one of our self-sanitizing cases*. Keeping your night guard in a damp, humid location will encourage the growth of bacteria.

At least once a week, you should deep clean your SleepPro. You can choose from several methods, including:

      – Ecosym cleaner: Place your night guard in a bowl of water, then add the cleaner and allow to soak for 30 minutes.Daily and weekly cleaning product available

      – SleepPro Fresh & Clean tablets: Place your night guard in a bowl of water, then add the cleaning tablet and allow to soak for 30 minutes

      – Mouthwash: Mix mouthwash with water and soak for 30 minutes.

DO NOT use over the counter denture cleaning products as these contain very aggressive cleaning agents designed for hard acrylic products and will degrade and harden soft night guards

My Wisdom Teeth are pressing against my gums when I push my jaw forward

If this is happening, then you should stop using the device and consider seeing your dentist who will advise you on the most appropriate course of action. It may be that your wisdom teeth are stopping you pushing your jaw forward and this is, indirectly, making your snoring worse. You may wish to weigh-up the pros and cons of having your wisdom teeth removed.

Why is my SleepPro very rough?

If you place a SleepPro standard (Easifit) in water that is too hot, it can become very rough and unwearable. It will need to be replaced. It is worth noting that it loses some of its smoothness when put in hot water – even at the right temperature. If you have problems then please contact us for a free replacement. Issues must be brought to our attention within 14 days to qualify for a free replacement

      Troubleshooting your SleepPro mouthpiece

      SleepPro troubleshooting

If your SleepPro doesn’t work the first time, then don’t give up hope as there are several things that can be done. Also, if you wore a SleepPro and it worked, even if only for a few minutes, this is a good sign. The device has confirmed that moving your jaw forward a short way stops you snoring. If it only works for part of the time, or is uncomfortable, then you should get a custom-made SleepPro.Below are some common problems, and the solutions that may help you to stop snoring with a SleepPro:

      It doesn't work at all

      Cause
Your jaw may not be pushed far enough forward

      Solution
Remould the mouthpiece with your jaw further forward. Note: pushing your jaw further forward reduces snoring, but increases discomfort. Aim to find a position where your jaw is far enough forward to stop you snoring, but not so far forward that it causes discomfort.

It only works at the start of the night, or falls out during the night

      Cause
Your jaw may be slipping out of the mouthpiece. This is a common problem with ‘boil and bite’ devices

      Solution
      1. Reheat and remould it
      2. Suck out the saliva, particularly when you first put it in each night
      3. invest in a custom made mouthpiece which will grip the teeth much better.

It used to work, but now I’m snoring again

      Cause
      Your device may have stretched

      Solution
Remould it, buy a new one or upgrade to a custom made device.

My jaw muscles hurt when I wake in the morning

      Cause
Your jaw may be pushed too far forward

      Solution
Remould the mouthpiece with your jaw not so far forward.

My front teeth hurt when I wake in the morning

      Cause
Lots of people experience this when they start using a SleepPro.

A SleepPro starter appliance puts the pressure of your jaw trying to move back into place overnight onto your front teeth. However, it could also be caused by your jaw being pushed too far forward.

      Solution
Most people find it usually goes away after using the mouthpiece for a couple of weeks. Try remoulding the mouthpiece with your jaw not so far forward. If the problem persists consider upgrading to a SleepPro custom, which spreads the load more evenly.
