SLEEPPRO CONTOUR A PRECISELY ADJUSTABLE MOUTHPIECE FOR A COMFORTABLE FIT

The SleepPro Contour was developed in response to a high volume of requests from doctors and patients alike. It offers a cost-effective alternative to more expensive, invasive options.

Using boil-and-bite technology, the SleepPro Contour lets you adjust and experiment with the amount of advancement using interchangeable straps — finding the setting that best reduces your snoring, while keeping a comfortable, close fit without moving up to the fully customised Custom.

HOW DO THE INTERCHANGEABLE STRAPS WORK?

The interchangeable straps on the SleepPro Contour Stop Snoring Mouthpiece allow incremental precise advancement of the lower jaw, restoring the tension in the upper airway and preventing the soft pallet from collapsing and obstructing the upper airway. This prevents snoring. If you find your selected tension straps do not stop you, select the next pair down, or if the first setting is too far forward, try the next pair of longer straps.

HOW TO FIT YOUR SleepPro Contour Stop Snoring Mouthpiece

  • Secure the fitting handle to the upper and lower trays, and immerse
the mouthpiece in freshly boiled water for 3 minutes.
  • Remove it and bite down into the trays.
  • Mould the mouth-piece around your teeth using your fingers.
  • Remove it and place it in cold water for your mouthpiece to set.
  • Attach one of the seven pairs of tension straps. We recommend that
    you start with the longest.

Long-Term Dental Care & Morning Jaw Exercises

Mandibular advancement devices work by gently holding the lower jaw forward during sleep. This can be very effective for suitable users, but long-term use should be monitored as part of your normal dental care.

Why dental check-ups matter

Over time, any mandibular advancement device may affect how your teeth meet when you bite. In some users, this can include small changes in tooth position, bite contact, or jaw comfort.

Regular dental check-ups help ensure that:

  • Your teeth and gums remain healthy

  • Any bite changes are noticed early

  • The device continues to fit comfortably

  • Pressure points, looseness, or wear can be dealt with promptly

If you have gum disease, loose teeth, untreated decay, crowns, bridges, implants, jaw joint problems, or ongoing dental pain, please speak to your dentist before using a mandibular advancement device.

Morning jaw exercises

After wearing the device overnight, your jaw may temporarily feel slightly forward or your bite may feel different. Simple morning jaw movements can help your jaw return to its usual resting position.

After removing the device, gently:

  1. Open and close your mouth several times

  2. Move your jaw from side to side

  3. Bite together lightly to re-establish your normal bite

  4. Follow any specific exercises or advice given by your dentist

Some users may also be advised by their dentist to use a morning repositioning splint.

Important note

A mandibular advancement device is not intended to replace professional dental or medical advice. For long-term use, we recommend routine dental check-ups so your dentist can monitor your teeth, gums, bite, and jaw comfort.
