Why do I have to pay to send my impression back? Can't you offer prepaid return?
Two very good questions we get asked a lot and worth spending time on providing a detailed explanation. We are focused on providing a quality product, exceptional customer service at a sensible price. In the early days we offered the full package of prepaid return stickers. Just pop the impression in the bag and drop it in the post box! Well, that was a bit of a mistake, as many customers did just that. Put the impression in the bag, put the sticker in and dropped it in the post box. Much to the detriment of the impressions! Many arrived damaged beyond use so we had to reissue a new kit for the customer to retake the impression. For those in a hurry, that was not acceptable! So, we amended instructions to ensure the impressions were well wrapped before posting! The prepaid return service (Royal Mail Service) had specific parameters for weight and size, whilst light in weight, customers started to send in packages way to big, plenty of padding but over the size limitation for the prepaid service, so we were fined for every item over the limit. Which seemed to be most of them. Raising the size limit to the next band of pre-paid service made it too expensive! Whilst we used a first class pre-paid service the actual delivery time to our office ran from 5-10 days! Not acceptable to many customers and justifiably so, packets arriving with us when the item should have been made and delivered back to the customer in the same time scale. Phone calls a plenty! “Where’s my order I sent it first class using your label” Delayed by having too much padding added up to 5 days, delays from the poor postal service added 5-10 days it was not a sustainable situation! Add to this the ever increasing postal rates and a declining service we had to find a solution! Couriers? Way to expensive and equally if not worse at pickups or special arrangements!
So, after months if not years of trial and error, we decided to put the responsibility and expense of sending the impressions back here onto the customer. What a difference!
With customers now engaged in the process of shipping the impressions back, packages now arrived well packed without having to give instructions.
Postage fees applied correctly, no excess fees to pay
Express items sent without us having to make special arrangements.
Still no answer for the lost or delayed packages, but with customers engaged in the shipping process there is more understanding when things do go wrong in the postal system.
So while it may seem to some it’s a “penny pinching scam” it is in fact cheaper for the customer, more efficient and allows us to deliver a quality product and service

For orders delivered outside the UK, your local customs authority or delivery company may charge import VAT, customs duty or handling fees before delivery. These charges are set by your country and are the customer’s responsibility.
EU customers: SleepPro products are also available through our European distributor at SleepPro.eu. If you are based in the EU, ordering from our EU distributor may be a simpler option, especially if you prefer local EU service and delivery.
Custom-made products: If your product is made from your dental impressions, we first send you an impression kit. After taking your impressions, you will need to pay the postage to send them back to our UK laboratory, unless stated otherwise. This is different from off-the-shelf products, which do not require impressions to be returned.
For international impression returns, please complete any required customs declaration and describe the contents as “dental impressions / impression material”. The declared value should reflect the replacement value of the impression materials only, not the value of the finished custom device.

Risk Assessment
Making your own dental impressions is straight forward but can has some risks which you should be aware of before deciding
Allergy. We use vinyl polysiloxane. Vinylpolysiloxane (VPS) is a type of silicone-based impression material commonly used in dentistry. It is a popular choice for making accurate dental impressions due to its high dimensional stability, tear strength, and accuracy. VPS is available in a variety of viscosities, allowing dental practitioners to choose the appropriate consistency based on the specific application. It is used in a variety of dental procedures, including crowns, bridges, and dentures. VPS has largely replaced traditional impression materials like alginate due to its superior accuracy and ease of use.
Damage to teeth, crowns, veneers, inlays, onlays, implants, crowns or other oral prosthesis. So long as your teeth are in good health, your crowns etc are fitting well and are not loose or leaking the risk of damage is minimal. But should you be concerned please check with your dentist first before considering a purchase or proceeding with any impression process. Ultimately it is your choice and we do not accept responsibility for any damage caused using our impression system.
Stuck impression. The impression material used is soft and "fluid" it is designed to flow around and between teeth to provide an accurate impression. If you have very "gappy" teeth or receding gums this can create more undercuts and greater surface area of tooth. Whilst the impression material does not have any adhesive quality, it can feel "stuck" to the teeth when trying to remove it. It is best to remove it by first breaking the suction on one side, pulling the impression off the molar area first usually works best. Once the impression starts to move it should slowly release all the way around. In the rare circumstances you are unable to break the suction a call to 111 will be necessary to find a duty dentist who would be able to assist. This is however exceptionally rare occurrence, but must be mentioned as a potential risk.
Bleeding after impression removal. If taking blood thinning medication, please be aware that when removing the impression it is possible to scratch or puncture the gum with a misplaced fingernail! Care should be taken if you are know to bleed easily.
If you experience bleeding gums after taking a dental impression, it is important to take it seriously. Bleeding gums can be a sign of inflammation, infection or trauma to the gums. Ignoring it can lead to serious dental problems such as gum disease, which can eventually lead to tooth loss.
To take action, first, consult your dental professional. They may recommend a follow-up appointment to assess the situation and provide you with an appropriate treatment plan. In the meantime, you can improve your oral health by gently brushing twice a day, flossing once a day, and using an antiseptic mouthwash. Be sure to avoid acidic or sugary foods and drinks that can irritate your gums. Finally, stay hydrated and get enough sleep to help your body heal. Remember, early detection and treatment can prevent serious dental problems down the line.

Long-Term Dental Care
Long-Term Dental Care & Morning Jaw Exercises
Mandibular advancement devices work by gently holding the lower jaw forward during sleep. This can be very effective for suitable users, but long-term use should be monitored as part of your normal dental care.
Why dental check-ups matter
Over time, any mandibular advancement device may affect how your teeth meet when you bite. In some users, this can include small changes in tooth position, bite contact, or jaw comfort.
Regular dental check-ups help ensure that:
Your teeth and gums remain healthy
Any bite changes are noticed early
The device continues to fit comfortably
Pressure points, looseness, or wear can be dealt with promptly
If you have gum disease, loose teeth, untreated decay, crowns, bridges, implants, jaw joint problems, or ongoing dental pain, please speak to your dentist before using a mandibular advancement device.
Morning jaw exercises
After wearing the device overnight, your jaw may temporarily feel slightly forward or your bite may feel different. Simple morning jaw movements can help your jaw return to its usual resting position.
After removing the device, gently:
Open and close your mouth several times
Move your jaw from side to side
Bite together lightly to re-establish your normal bite
Follow any specific exercises or advice given by your dentist
Some users may also be advised by their dentist to use a morning repositioning splint.

I suffered for years with mild sleep apnea was tested and found out that I stopped breathing 13 times an hour. I also snored very loud and at times woke up gasping for air. I was recommended to try this guard by the hospital and I have to say this sleep pro mouth guard has changed my life. I sleep well at night. I don’t wake up gasping for air and no snoring. I have had a few of the mouth guards and find that the clear guard is quite soft and is good if you don’t grind your teeth. This has been a total game changer. I have spent years buying and trying all sorts of gadgets to stop my snoring sleep apnea. This is the first time that something has actually worked. The first time i used the temp mould that you send off after a few nights testing i slept through the entire night without waking myself up every few minutes because of my sleep apena and wow, my energy the following morning was something i was not used to. It has truely changed my sleeping. I use the snore lab app to record myself and it was always epic loud snoring everynight with myself constantly waking up. Now with this guard i now show up on snore guard as quiet or light and wake up refreshed and energised and no longer wake everyone up with my loud snoring. My lower jaw is quiet recessed so i had to remould the temp plastic mould twice to get the guard to work properly but it just means putting the mould back into hot water. The proper mould is easy to set up to take impressions, instructions very easy. The finished product is perfect and at first u dribble abit but you soon get used to it. I will be buying more as i cant ever go back to sleepness nights. Amazing product and does wat its meant too. It is a far superior end product than the classic generic plastic moulds you buy and heat up in hot water. The end result with this product is a perfect mould for your teeth and gums and works if you take the time to make sure ur lower jaw is pushed forward enough when you make the plastic mould and the impression one. The generic plastic ones were always too wide for my small mouth and i could never get the forward jaw position as far as i needed to cure my sleep apena. This product is the only one to do this.

If I’m honest, I was pretty skeptic about the device having tried throat sprays, nose strips, dissolving mouth strips etc etc. But, when I got some positive reaction to using an off-the-shelf, melt yourself mouthguard, I thought it was worth giving it ago. This mouthguard is way more comfy as it’s made to fit and therefore isn’t so bulky in your mouth. Yes, it takes some getting used to and wearing means your mouth produces a lot of saliva but it all calms down after a few weeks.
I’m not exaggerating by saying that the device has given me more confidence either. Up until recently, I’ve not been confident to stay at friend’s houses due to my loud snoring. After the feedback from my wife (and my daughter who’d hear me in the room next-door), I’m now happy to stay at friend's houses again. One of the real tests was going away camping with our church in our campervan and I didn’t disturb anyone!

I really need to do something, but found little availability on the market that did anything. Tried a few different devices but no good.
A few years ago I plucked up the courage and went to see a dental/sleep specialist whom put me on an overnight monitor which concluded I have mild sleep apnea. He took a very detailed digital scan of my teeth and presented me with available options. £1000 minimum for his recommended mandibular device, with no guarantee it would work. I said I’d need to really think about that. If it were a couple of hundred quid I would have taken a punt on it, but not a grand.
I was again researching and came across sleeppro. Read reviews, liked the snug looking fit, liked the fact that they sent an impression kit so it would be bespoke to me. I decided at £200 or so it was worth taking a chance, as i say I had to do something.

The impressions you have to take are tricky and uncomfortable, but easily doable.
When I received my device, as you’d expect it take’s getting used to. I’ve read people saying after a week or two it’s grand, In all honesty it took me a couple of months. I suffered jaw pain every morning on one side. I actually was going to give up on it, but was determined. After that two months or so it eventually settled. I now sleep all night every night. I get up fresh, don’t crave those daily doses. It has truly changed my life and for £200!!!
My recommendation; if you’re thinking about it, just go for it, don’t hesitate!!! And stick with it, as it can take time

Very good service in that I received the impression trays quickly, I was kept up to date following your receipt of the impressions and I received the mouth shield within a few weeks. The mouth shield itself is not as comfortable as others I have had in the past as it is very tight. - but it does the job and I’m hoping it will get a bit slacker in time particularly with my top teeth!

I've used Mandibular Advancement Devices for about 15 years with great success to combat snoring. This is a life changing product, and I don't say that lightly. I snore heavily and my wife sleeps lightly, such a bad combination that for the last four years we have slept in separate rooms and our marriage has undoubtedly suffered as a result. I have been to private hospitals and my GP with no solution in sight.
I bought the SleepPro Custom just in case it worked and it is utterly revolutionary. It took me about two nights to get used to the device but after that I sleep absolutely fine, and haven't snored once since I've used it. The only downside is that my jaw is a bit sore for an hour or so in the morning but a small price to pay for both of us having a good sleep, and finally being able to sleep in my own bed again.

I have been suffering with poor sleep quality for long time and tried many dental appliances from the NHS. And non of them was perfect. Even the CPAP did not work for me. I ordered the Custom Pro which arrived promptly. I had a little difficulty fitting the temporary device and also removing the mould for the permanent device from my mouth. Although I followed the instructions for both devices to the letter I didn’t feel confident that I had made a good impression. However, there was no need to be concerned because when received the permanent device fitted properly and having got used to it I don’t find it uncomfortable. I have used sleep pro for 5 years since I was diagnosed with sleep apnea. It’s made such a difference to my life being able to sleep at night and not waking up gasping for air or feeling tired. I have had to remould my mouth guard a couple of times due to work at the dentist and they have been so helpful with any request I have made. It is better than the last one in Black, but the stitching under the chin has to be stronger, as it starts giving way after 6 weeks, and the strap which goes to the part behind the ear to back of head could have at least one inch of Velcro, more. &adding washing instructions would help
