The SleepPro Standard Plus Night Guard 3mm is a custom made for upper or lower teeth, approximately 3mm in thickness, it is made from a dental-grade polymer. Ideal for heavy clenching / grinding (bruxing)
Twice the thickness of our Slimline nightguard it provides greater separation of the teeth, made from a harder plastic it will potentially have a longer lifespan. Having a harder more resistant surface it is still flexible and won't crack or chip. It's the big brother of our SleepPro Standard nightguard and will last longer for the heavier bruxer. The plastic is slightly milky white opaque making it easier to differentiate from the Standard version.

Postage
"Why do I have to pay to send my impression back? Cant you offer prepaid return?"
Two very good questions we get asked a lot and worth spending time on providing a detailed explanation.
We are focused on providing a quality product, exceptional customer service at a sensible price. In the early days we offered the full package of prepaid return stickers. Just pop the impression in the bag and drop it in the post box! Well, that was a bit of a mistake, as many customers did just that. Put the impression in the bag, put the sticker in and dropped it in the post box. Much to the detriment of the impressions! Many arrived damaged beyond use so we had to reissue a new kit for the customer to retake the impression. For those in a hurry, that was not acceptable!
So, we amended instructions to ensure the impressions were well wrapped before posting! The prepaid return service (Royal Mail Service) had specific parameters for weight and size, whilst light in weight, customers started to send in packages way to big, plenty of padding but over the size limitation for the prepaid service, so we were fined for every item over the limit. Which seemed to be most of them. Raising the size limit to the next band of pre-paid service made it too expensive!
Whilst we used a first class pre-paid service the actual delivery time to our office range from 5-10 working days! Not acceptable to many customers and justifiably so, packets arriving with us when the item should have been made and delivered back to the customer in the same time scale. Phone calls a plenty! “Where’s my order I sent it first class using your label” Delayed by having too much padding added up to 5 days, delays from the poor postal service added 5-10 days it was not a sustainable situation! Add to this the ever increasing postal rates and a declining service we had to find a solution!
Couriers? Way to expensive and equally if not worse at pickups or special arrangements!
So, after months if not years of trial and error, we decided to put the responsibility and expense of sending the impressions back here onto the customer, and; what a difference! With customers now engaged in the process of shipping the impressions back, packages now arrived well packed without having to give instructions. Postage fees applied correctly, no excess fees to pay. Express items sent without us having to make special arrangements. Still no answer for the lost or delayed packages, but with customers engaged in the shipping process there is more understanding when things do go wrong in the postal system.
So while it may seem to some it’s a “penny pinching scam” it is in fact cheaper for the customer, more efficient and allows us to deliver a quality product and service
Risk Assessment
Making your own dental impressions is straight forward but can has some risks which you should be aware of before deciding
Allergy. We use vinyl polysiloxane. Vinylpolysiloxane (VPS) is a type of silicone-based impression material commonly used in dentistry. It is a popular choice for making accurate dental impressions due to its high dimensional stability, tear strength, and accuracy. VPS is available in a variety of viscosities, allowing dental practitioners to choose the appropriate consistency based on the specific application. It is used in a variety of dental procedures, including crowns, bridges, and dentures. VPS has largely replaced traditional impression materials like alginate due to its superior accuracy and ease of use.
Damage to teeth, crowns, veneers, inlays, onlays, implants, crowns or other oral prosthesis. So long as your teeth are in good health, your crowns etc are fitting well and are not loose or leaking the risk of damage is minimal. But should you be concerned please check with your dentist first before considering a purchase or proceeding with any impression process. Ultimately it is your choice and we do not accept responsibility for any damage caused using our impression system.
Stuck impression. The impression material used is soft and "fluid" it is designed to flow around and between teeth to provide an accurate impression. If you have very "gappy" teeth or receding gums this can create more undercuts and greater surface area of tooth. Whilst the impression material does not have any adhesive quality, it can feel "stuck" to the teeth when trying to remove it. It is best to remove it by first breaking the suction on one side, pulling the impression off the molar area first usually works best. Once the impression starts to move it should slowly release all the way around. In the rare circumstances you are unable to break the suction a call to 111 will be necessary to find a duty dentist who would be able to assist. This is however exceptionally rare occurrence, but must be mentioned as a potential risk.
Bleeding after impression removal. If taking blood thinning medication, please be aware that when removing the impression it is possible to scratch or puncture the gum with a misplaced fingernail! Care should be taken if you are know to bleed easily.
If you experience bleeding gums after taking a dental impression, it is important to take it seriously. Bleeding gums can be a sign of inflammation, infection or trauma to the gums. Ignoring it can lead to serious dental problems such as gum disease, which can eventually lead to tooth loss.
To take action, first, consult your dental professional. They may recommend a follow-up appointment to assess the situation and provide you with an appropriate treatment plan. In the meantime, you can improve your oral health by gently brushing twice a day, flossing once a day, and using an antiseptic mouthwash. Be sure to avoid acidic or sugary foods and drinks that can irritate your gums. Finally, stay hydrated and get enough sleep to help your body heal. Remember, early detection and treatment can prevent serious dental problems down the line.

Custom Nightguard FAQ
Worn for 1 night, and have had to stop, as it is rubbing on part of my gum. What can i do to stop this please ?
Sometimes the original impression can look great but has a small defect that is not really visible, it's only when the night guard is worn that a distortion or defect becomes apparent by causing pressure or sore spot.
A quick home fix you can try :
Boil some water and carefully pour it over the offending sedge of the night guard, take care not to scald your fingers, the hot water will soften the area very quickly 5-10 seconds. Gently shake off the excess hot water, bend the edge slightly with your fingers then quickly place it back into your mouth. The softened plastic should then adapt to the shape of the area without causing undue pressure. A few sips of some cold water will help cool and fix the new shape/position. You can repeat this as many times as you like to get the area comfortable.
The second alternative is to mark the area in question and send it back to us and we will ease the area for you.
Can you use my dental model taken by my dentist
If you have your own dental model, its in good condition and you have not had any major dental work since it was made, then yes, we can certainly use you own model. If sending your own model please follow these instructions; Place your order online. When you receive your order confirmation, make a note of your order number and email info@sleeppro.com put your name and order number in the subject line and just type "sending my own model" in the body text of the email. Wrap your model securely, don't forget to include your name and order number Post to:
Meditas Ltd. Unit 2, Cromwell Business Centre, Howard Way, Newport Pagnell, Milton Keynes MK16 9PY
When received we will send you an email to confirm safe arrival. We will of course return your model with your finished night guard but we can not guarantee it will not incur damage during the manufacturing process. We do our very best to ensure it will not be damaged but as with all dental models the material is very hard, but brittle.
Due to the additional handling and processing times required for customer supplied models there is no discount for sending in models.
Should you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to get back to us.
What nightguard should I get?
Unless you have been specifically advised by your dentist as to the requirements of an upper/lower & thickness it really comes down to personal preference. If you are still unsure while reviewing our products we would always recommend speaking with a dentist before making a purchase. Predominantly customers find the Upper more comfortable and the impression process can be a little easier.
If you have not used a night guard before we could suggest starting with a 1.5 or the standard 3mm again unless otherwise advised by your dentist. The 1.5mm is only suitable for mild grinding, the medium is mild to moderate. Once you have become accustomed to the wearing of a night guard and you feel you need something more substantial in terms of thickness/durability this is then where the HARD or PLUS can become beneficial.
Nightguards do not come with a warranty cover. The longevity of a nightguard is very unique to each individual, although we provide a range of thicknesses to help support all requirements it is impossible for us to say how long this will last per customer as all grinding/bruxing is different in person to person. If there is a fit issue within 30 days we will of course assist in getting these rectified for you but will require the return of the nightguard to do so.
What's the best way to clean my night guard / SleepPro
When waking in the morning make it part of your morning routine to rinse your SleepPro with warm/cold water. Never use hot water as this may distort the product and render it unwearable.
While rinsing, use a soft toothbrush to gently scrub away any lingering plaque or saliva. Avoid using toothpaste (abrasive toothpaste will scratch the soft polymer).
When your SleepPro is clean, allow it to air dry naturally ensuring it is completely dry before storing it in its freshly-sanitized case (you may wish to invest in one of our self-sanitizing cases*. Keeping your night guard in a damp, humid location will encourage the growth of bacteria.
At least once a week, you should deep clean your SleepPro. You can choose from several methods, including:
– Ecosym cleaner: Place your night guard in a bowl of water, then add the cleaner and allow to soak for 30 minutes.Daily and weekly cleaning product available
– SleepPro Fresh & Clean tablets: Place your night guard in a bowl of water, then add the cleaning tablet and allow to soak for 30 minutes
– Mouthwash: Mix mouthwash with water and soak for 30 minutes.
DO NOT use over the counter denture cleaning products as these contain very aggressive cleaning agents designed for hard acrylic products and will degrade and harden soft night guards
Bleeding Gums
If you experience bleeding gums after taking a dental impression, it is important to take it seriously. Bleeding gums can be a sign of inflammation, infection or trauma to the gums. Ignoring it can lead to serious dental problems such as gum disease, which can eventually lead to tooth loss.

Do I pay for sending the impressions back to you?
Postage is payable to send impressions back to us. Unfortunately, we had to remove the return postage as this was causing many problems with delays and missing items, along with this there was a change in tariffs to do with the thickness of parcels. We can not predict how thick the returning impression(s) are or how customers bulk out the packaging to return.
This is also to continue to keep our price down, especially during such times. Currently, the cost of adding a return service significantly increases the purchase price for our customers. Return postage is something that we continue to review but at the moment not provided.
You can return the impression with no postage and the cost will be forwarded to us, but this may cause a delay in the impression reaching us and applies a higher risk of becoming lost in transit. We would suggest placing a return address on the package in case it doesn't make it to us.
So much more economical than getting g one made at the dentist and better than the last 2 I have had made. Secure on my teeth all night, no movement at all- no signs of wear despite being a super- grinder!
Would def recommend

Honestly wasn’t sure this on line night guard would work. My dentist wanted £400.00 for a thicker night guard to help with my severe bruxism (dentist guard only lasted a few weeks before holes appeared).
I am absolutely thrilled with the quality, comfort and strength. It fits perfectly so much so that I immediately ordered another one (at a reduced price too!). I would definitely recommend giving this company a go it has literally saved me hundreds of pounds. Thank you SleepPro you are amazing!

This is a great product at a fraction of the cost to get one through your dentist. I watched the video and followed the very clear instructions on how to make the impression and it was pretty easy. I was conscious of the guard the first night, haven't noticed it since. No more jaw aches, headaches or tooth damage from nightly tooth grinding.

Ordered some spare night guards as my original one is slowly wearing down. The new ones I received were a very bad fit and barely covered my teeth, and the replacements were barely any better, but after sending some photos demonstrating the problems, SleepPro were extremely helpful and did everything they could to fix the problems quickly and without any additional cost to me, which was excellent customer service.
I am only giving 4 stars (not 5) as all of the newer guards seem noticably thinner than my original, so even after wearing each one for 1 night, they already have teeth marks in them, so I'm not sure how long they will last.
Literally changed my life. I’ve snored most of my life as I have a deep overbite. Going on holiday and sharing a room with anyone has always been a nightmare, and a strain on relationships!
I’ve used over the counter night guards for years to get by, but they were uncomfortable and placed all the weight of my jaw on my front teeth.
Since buying my Sleep Pro Custom AM I now have a comfortable , silent sleep. I wake up refreshed and my partner no longer has to either wear earplugs or sleep in the spare room. We can now save for our dream Campervan!
Literally life changing. Fantastic customer service too as my first guard had to be remade as my over bite is so severe.
Thank you, thank you , thank you!!!
When the first set fit loosely i contacted customer service. They were very helpful and immediately began making a new mold that fit better, no fight at all, just an efficient solution.

I’ve used a Sleep Pro mouth guard for years to stop my snoring. Yes: actually stop it, not just reduce it!
When I made a mess of making an impression of my teeth, the customer service was second-to-none In using previous impressions. The mouthpiece I now have is brilliant. I can’t recommend Sleep Pro highly enough. I never thought something so simple could make such a difference.
