The SleepPro SleepPro 1.5mm Firm is a custom made night guard for upper or lower teeth, approximately 1.5mm in thickness. Almost identical to our SleepPro Slimline 1.5 although the SleepPro 1.5mm firm is made of a more rigid polymer. Made from a firm dental-grade polymer. Ideal for customers looking for a thin night guard that does not wear out so quickly, and does not trigger "chewing reflex" which is common with the softer more "squishy" night guards.
** This product is notsuitable for use as a retainer **
If you have not worn a night guard before but have been recommended to wear one to protect your teeth from the negative effects of grinding and clenching. The SleepPro 1.5mm Firm Night Guard is an ideal first choice.

Postage
"Why do I have to pay to send my impression back?" "Can’t you offer prepaid return?"
These are two very valid and frequently asked questions—and they deserve a full explanation.
Our goal has always been to provide a high-quality product and exceptional service at a fair price. In the early days, we did include prepaid return labels. All customers had to do was pop their impression in the bag, stick on the label, and drop it in a post box.
Unfortunately, that approach didn’t work out as well as we hoped.
What went wrong?
Many impressions were sent back with minimal or no protection—just dropped into the return bag as-is. As a result, a significant number of them arrived damaged and unusable. That meant delays for customers and additional costs for us to send replacement kits. For customers on a deadline, this caused understandable frustration.
So, we updated our instructions to emphasize better packaging.
That helped protect the impressions, but created a new problem. The prepaid return service (via Royal Mail) had strict size and weight limits. While impressions are light, the added padding often pushed parcels beyond the size limit. We were fined for every package that exceeded these limits—which turned out to be most of them.
Upgrading to the next pricing band made the prepaid service too expensive to include without raising prices across the board.
And then there were delays.
Even though the prepaid return used a "First Class" service, delivery times ranged anywhere from 5 to 10 days. That meant customers were waiting far too long for their impressions to reach us—delaying production and delivery of their final product. We were getting flooded with calls: "Where’s my order? I used your First Class label!"
The delays often came down to two things: oversized packages causing routing issues, and increasing inefficiencies in the postal system. In the end, it just wasn’t sustainable—for us or for our customers.
What about couriers? We tried them too. Unfortunately, they were far more expensive and often just as unreliable when it came to pickups or special arrangements.
Why we changed the process
By shifting the responsibility of return postage to the customer, we’ve seen huge improvements:
Impressions now arrive properly packed, often with no need for reminders.
Parcels are delivered faster, because customers choose the best service for their needs.
We avoid unnecessary fines and delays, allowing us to keep our prices fair.
And when there are postal issues, customers are more understanding—because they’ve chosen and managed the return method themselves.
While it may seem like a small inconvenience, this change has made the process smoother, faster, and more reliable for everyone. Most importantly, it helps us maintain the high standard of service and product quality our customers expect—without raising our prices.
Risk Assessment
Making your own dental impressions is straight forward but can has some risks which you should be aware of before deciding
Allergy. We use vinyl polysiloxane. Vinylpolysiloxane (VPS) is a type of silicone-based impression material commonly used in dentistry. It is a popular choice for making accurate dental impressions due to its high dimensional stability, tear strength, and accuracy. VPS is available in a variety of viscosities, allowing dental practitioners to choose the appropriate consistency based on the specific application. It is used in a variety of dental procedures, including crowns, bridges, and dentures. VPS has largely replaced traditional impression materials like alginate due to its superior accuracy and ease of use.
Damage to teeth, crowns, veneers, inlays, onlays, implants, crowns or other oral prosthesis. So long as your teeth are in good health, your crowns etc are fitting well and are not loose or leaking the risk of damage is minimal. But should you be concerned please check with your dentist first before considering a purchase or proceeding with any impression process. Ultimately it is your choice and we do not accept responsibility for any damage caused using our impression system.
Stuck impression. The impression material used is soft and "fluid" it is designed to flow around and between teeth to provide an accurate impression. If you have very "gappy" teeth or receding gums this can create more undercuts and greater surface area of tooth. Whilst the impression material does not have any adhesive quality, it can feel "stuck" to the teeth when trying to remove it. It is best to remove it by first breaking the suction on one side, pulling the impression off the molar area first usually works best. Once the impression starts to move it should slowly release all the way around. In the rare circumstances you are unable to break the suction a call to 111 will be necessary to find a duty dentist who would be able to assist. This is however exceptionally rare occurrence, but must be mentioned as a potential risk.
Bleeding after impression removal. If taking blood thinning medication, please be aware that when removing the impression it is possible to scratch or puncture the gum with a misplaced fingernail! Care should be taken if you are know to bleed easily.
If you experience bleeding gums after taking a dental impression, it is important to take it seriously. Bleeding gums can be a sign of inflammation, infection or trauma to the gums. Ignoring it can lead to serious dental problems such as gum disease, which can eventually lead to tooth loss.
To take action, first, consult your dental professional. They may recommend a follow-up appointment to assess the situation and provide you with an appropriate treatment plan. In the meantime, you can improve your oral health by gently brushing twice a day, flossing once a day, and using an antiseptic mouthwash. Be sure to avoid acidic or sugary foods and drinks that can irritate your gums. Finally, stay hydrated and get enough sleep to help your body heal. Remember, early detection and treatment can prevent serious dental problems down the line.

I've been using the 1.5mm night guard for several months now and was impressed when my first purchase fitted as well and was as comfortable as my previous BUPA supplied guards.
My long time dentist urged me to start using a night guard several years ago but the BUPA supplied ones became too expensive.
Very happy and about to order a spare just in case.

The mouth guard is extremely uncomfortable to wear.(tremendous amount of pressure on my teeth and gums when I wear it) Contacted customer service for advice, but as of today, still waiting for response.
I’ve purchase one of the “male-it-yourself at home” style mouth guards for £10 or so, and to be honest, it’s much more comfortable (it took me many tries but since you’re doing it at home you’re not limited as you would be with this product).
Would not buy again

I’ve used a Sleep Pro mouth guard for years to stop my snoring. Yes: actually stop it, not just reduce it!
When I made a mess of making an impression of my teeth, the customer service was second-to-none In using previous impressions. The mouthpiece I now have is brilliant. I can’t recommend Sleep Pro highly enough. I never thought something so simple could make such a difference.

This has been a total game changer. I have spent years buying and trying all sorts of gadgets to stop my snoring sleep apnea. This is the first time that something has actually worked. The first time i used the temp mould that you send off after a few nights testing i slept through the entire night without waking myself up every few minutes because of my sleep apena and wow, my energy the following morning was something i was not used to. It has truely changed my sleeping. I use the snore lab app to record myself and it was always epic loud snoring everynight with myself constantly waking up. Now with this guard i now show up on snore guard as quiet or light and wake up refreshed and energised and no longer wake everyone up with my loud snoring. My lower jaw is quiet recessed so i had to remould the temp plastic mould twice to get the guard to work properly but it just means putting the mould back into hot water. The proper mould is easy to set up to take impressions, instructions very easy. The finished product is perfect and at first u dribble abit but you soon get used to it. I will be buying more as i cant ever go back to sleepness nights. Amazing product and does wat its meant too. It is a far superior end product than the classic generic plastic moulds you buy and heat up in hot water. The end result with this product is a perfect mould for your teeth and gums and works if you take the time to make sure ur lower jaw is pushed forward enough when you make the plastic mould and the impression one. The generic plastic ones were always too wide for my small mouth and i could never get the forward jaw position as far as i needed to cure my sleep apena. This product is the only one to do this.
I’ve worn snoring mouthpieces for most of my adult life. The Contour is the one that I keep going back to year after year. It has great flexibility of movement during sleep, especially for somebody who grinds their teeth. And offers lots of versatility in the strap lengths. Their customer service has always been fantastic anytime that I have reached out with questions. And shipping time to the United States has always been very quick usually only about a week.
Thank god for this company. I have an nhs mandibular device that the straps keep snapping on constantly and i have to make a hospital appointment every time to get it repaired. These straps are exactly the same and although it is costing me money to repair the device instead of free on the nhs it is saving me an exhausting night of little sleep, time off work and fuel to travel to an appointment at a hospital and i can repair the device myself. Ordered and came next day as well. Fantastic
Didnt seem to mold well, tried several times. At night wither because loose or obstructive. Unfortunately i have had cheaper products work more effectively/stay in place
