Custom-made mandibular advancement device for snoring and mild–moderate sleep apnoea
SleepPro Custom S2 is our original custom-made mandibular advancement device (MAD) – a lab-crafted mouthpiece developed to reduce snoring and help treat mild to moderate obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA). It’s made individually from a professional impression of your teeth, giving you a slim, secure and precise fit that’s very hard to achieve with generic “boil and bite” devices.
By gently holding your lower jaw slightly forward during sleep, Custom S2 helps to keep your airway open, so you can breathe more freely, snore less and sleep better.
Why choose Custom S2?
Why choose Custom S2?
Fully bespoke UK-made device Custom S2 is crafted in a UK dental laboratory from your own impression, so it follows your dental profile closely and stays in place all night instead of working loose.
Excellent value vs dentist-made devices You get a professional-grade, custom MAD at a fraction of typical dentist prices, making evidence-based treatment more accessible without sacrificing quality.
Comfortable, low-bulk design Because it’s tailored to you, S2 can be made slimmer and smoother than many over-the-counter devices, helping it feel more natural once you’ve acclimatised – even if you’re a side sleeper.
Ideal upgrade from “boil and bite” If you’ve tried a basic MAD and want better comfort, fit and durability, Custom S2 is the natural next step. SleepPro Custom range (S2 and AM) are the better choice for those wanting a more personalised, effective device.
Made by Meditas in Britain SleepPro products are manufactured and supplied in the UK by Meditas Ltd, a company specialising in sleep-related oral appliances and night guards, with many years of experience supplying clinics and patients worldwide.
Backed by Published Clinical Research Custom S2 mandibular advancement technology that has been evaluated in the independent T.O.M.A.D.O. clinical trial, where this approach reduced snoring and improved sleep in people with mild–moderate sleep apnoea
Who is SleepPro Custom S2 for?
Who is SleepPro Custom S2 for?
Custom S2 is intended for:
Adults who snore during sleep
People diagnosed with mild–moderate obstructive sleep apnoea who have been advised that a mandibular advancement device is suitable for them
Users of basic “boil-and-bite” MADs who want a more effective, comfortable, longer-lasting, custom-made device
It is not a substitute for CPAP in more severe OSA unless your sleep or respiratory specialist specifically recommends this. If you snore loudly, stop breathing at night, or feel very sleepy during the day, you should seek medical assessment before relying on any oral device.
Backed by Published Clinical Research
Backed by independent clinical research (device type & manufacturer)
SleepPro / Meditas mandibular advancement devices are closely aligned with the kind of custom and semi-bespoke MADs evaluated in independent NHS- and NIHR-funded research:
In the TOMADO trial, a randomised crossover study funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research and published in Thorax and the NIHR Journals Library, our oral mandibular advancement devices (SP1 - SleepPro boil and bite, SP2 - SleepPro Custom) were shown to be more effective than no treatmentfor mild–moderate obstructive sleep apnoea–hypopnoea and snoring, improving both breathing disruption and daytime sleepiness. A semi-bespoke MAD of this type was identified as a clinically effective and cost-effective option.
A custom MAD manufactured by Meditas is also the device used in the current PAPMAT study at Royal Papworth Hospital, which is investigating whether adding a custom MAD to CPAP can help certain higher-pressure patients tolerate treatment better. PAPMAT is an NIHR-supported, non-commercial NHS trial.
Together, these and other studies support the use of properly designed mandibular advancement devices as an evidence-based option for snoring, and for some people with mild–moderate OSA.
Disclaimer: Sleep apnoea (apneea) is a medical condition that should be addressed through a medical profesional.

Making your own dental impressions is straight forward but can has some risks which you should be aware of before deciding
Allergy. We use vinyl polysiloxane. Vinylpolysiloxane (VPS) is a type of silicone-based impression material commonly used in dentistry. It is a popular choice for making accurate dental impressions due to its high dimensional stability, tear strength, and accuracy. VPS is available in a variety of viscosities, allowing dental practitioners to choose the appropriate consistency based on the specific application. It is used in a variety of dental procedures, including crowns, bridges, and dentures. VPS has largely replaced traditional impression materials like alginate due to its superior accuracy and ease of use.
Damage to teeth, crowns, veneers, inlays, onlays, implants, crowns or other oral prosthesis. So long as your teeth are in good health, your crowns etc are fitting well and are not loose or leaking the risk of damage is minimal. But should you be concerned please check with your dentist first before considering a purchase or proceeding with any impression process. Ultimately it is your choice and we do not accept responsibility for any damage caused using our impression system.
Stuck impression. The impression material used is soft and "fluid" it is designed to flow around and between teeth to provide an accurate impression. If you have very "gappy" teeth or receding gums this can create more undercuts and greater surface area of tooth. Whilst the impression material does not have any adhesive quality, it can feel "stuck" to the teeth when trying to remove it. It is best to remove it by first breaking the suction on one side, pulling the impression off the molar area first usually works best. Once the impression starts to move it should slowly release all the way around. In the rare circumstances you are unable to break the suction a call to 111 will be necessary to find a duty dentist who would be able to assist. This is however exceptionally rare occurrence, but must be mentioned as a potential risk.
Bleeding after impression removal. If taking blood thinning medication, please be aware that when removing the impression it is possible to scratch or puncture the gum with a misplaced fingernail! Care should be taken if you are know to bleed easily.
If you experience bleeding gums after taking a dental impression, it is important to take it seriously. Bleeding gums can be a sign of inflammation, infection or trauma to the gums. Ignoring it can lead to serious dental problems such as gum disease, which can eventually lead to tooth loss.
To take action, first, consult your dental professional. They may recommend a follow-up appointment to assess the situation and provide you with an appropriate treatment plan. In the meantime, you can improve your oral health by gently brushing twice a day, flossing once a day, and using an antiseptic mouthwash. Be sure to avoid acidic or sugary foods and drinks that can irritate your gums. Finally, stay hydrated and get enough sleep to help your body heal. Remember, early detection and treatment can prevent serious dental problems down the line.

I chose the Custom Pro because it mentioned there was no need to boil & fit, however the first step on the instructions is to boil & fit the temporary mould!
I tried to fit the temporary mould but gagged every time. I emailed help@sleeppro.com on 27/11/24 for advice and have never received a response.

I found it very uncomfortable. It really hurts my front teeth. I knew what I was getting. Yet it kept waking me, as my mouth is so restricted. I tried it for two weeks. I just don’t get on with it, well. Shame. As it was quite expensive. No bad reflect on the product or company. Just not for me.

I’ve used a Sleep Pro mouth guard for years to stop my snoring. Yes: actually stop it, not just reduce it!
When I made a mess of making an impression of my teeth, the customer service was second-to-none In using previous impressions. The mouthpiece I now have is brilliant. I can’t recommend Sleep Pro highly enough. I never thought something so simple could make such a difference.

SleepPro Standard Anti-Microbial Night Guard

This has been a total game changer. I have spent years buying and trying all sorts of gadgets to stop my snoring sleep apnea. This is the first time that something has actually worked. The first time i used the temp mould that you send off after a few nights testing i slept through the entire night without waking myself up every few minutes because of my sleep apena and wow, my energy the following morning was something i was not used to. It has truely changed my sleeping. I use the snore lab app to record myself and it was always epic loud snoring everynight with myself constantly waking up. Now with this guard i now show up on snore guard as quiet or light and wake up refreshed and energised and no longer wake everyone up with my loud snoring. My lower jaw is quiet recessed so i had to remould the temp plastic mould twice to get the guard to work properly but it just means putting the mould back into hot water. The proper mould is easy to set up to take impressions, instructions very easy. The finished product is perfect and at first u dribble abit but you soon get used to it. I will be buying more as i cant ever go back to sleepness nights. Amazing product and does wat its meant too. It is a far superior end product than the classic generic plastic moulds you buy and heat up in hot water. The end result with this product is a perfect mould for your teeth and gums and works if you take the time to make sure ur lower jaw is pushed forward enough when you make the plastic mould and the impression one. The generic plastic ones were always too wide for my small mouth and i could never get the forward jaw position as far as i needed to cure my sleep apena. This product is the only one to do this.
I’ve worn snoring mouthpieces for most of my adult life. The Contour is the one that I keep going back to year after year. It has great flexibility of movement during sleep, especially for somebody who grinds their teeth. And offers lots of versatility in the strap lengths. Their customer service has always been fantastic anytime that I have reached out with questions. And shipping time to the United States has always been very quick usually only about a week.
Thank god for this company. I have an nhs mandibular device that the straps keep snapping on constantly and i have to make a hospital appointment every time to get it repaired. These straps are exactly the same and although it is costing me money to repair the device instead of free on the nhs it is saving me an exhausting night of little sleep, time off work and fuel to travel to an appointment at a hospital and i can repair the device myself. Ordered and came next day as well. Fantastic
Didnt seem to mold well, tried several times. At night wither because loose or obstructive. Unfortunately i have had cheaper products work more effectively/stay in place
